Hello! My name is Michael Chen. This is my weblog about the many dimensions of cycling and the industry. I'm a student at the University of California, San Diego where I'm pursuing a degree in cycling and doing laundry. Kidding, but it seems like that's what takes up most of my time. I am actually studying Management Science and Business, and through classwork in both Game Theory and Network Industries, I plan to pursue a career as a market analyst. Besides being a student, I have also worked as a mechanic at the university's bike shop since 2011. Through work experience and other bicycle tech courses, I have taken it upon myself to be well versed in the latest and greatest in the cycling industry. I am a certified mechanic for both Shimano DURA-ACE DI2 and XTR component lines, and have completed over forty modules via Shimano's Technology and Educational Certification (S-T.E.C.). I have a deep appreciation for all well-engineered and superbly made products - from bicycle components to the kitchen cutlery. In my spare time, I dabble in photography and am an active reader of various forums ranging from cycling to the technology.
